thanks guys.

im sure the rest will be ready soon. i think you're right-it may have to do with the fact that I've already launched a visa application. also, maybe not so many primary teachers have applied.

i really hope everyone gets their answers tomorrow.

Mornnig, no change with us either.

The quota they have for each occupation, is this for state sponorship or the visas?

Elizabeth

Morning Elizabeth

The quota is for state sponsorship applications so the people that have lodged and still waiting to hear won't be processed any further....awful for those affected.

I hope you hear soon and me I am starting to worry we are gonna get declined as we have been assessed since last Thursday with no decision . Getting very stressful!

Morning everyone, no change for us

Am starting worry the quota will run out before we get it too. I keep checking plastering is still on the list.

I hope this is all over soon, it's soooo stressful!

Michelle, I would imagine decision ready probably means some sort of pre-admin work has been done and then its now waiting for the person who makes the final decision. I'm sure it's not a negative sign, just that its progressed to the next stage.

I'll look forward to checking again tonight after its been shut lol

I am sure your right, thanks just going a bit crazy with it all. Stress levels can't get any higher as this is our last chance and I don't know what I will do if they say no...

I will be thinking of you later when I also check again to be sure whilst they are closed lol!

Process is very stressful and I can only think it will get worse once the visa application is lodged. I'm climbing the walls and it's only been 6 weeks. Wonder what I'll be like after 6 months LOL.

Does anyone know where I can find info on the 176 visa and working conditions. I'm looking to find out if I can change occupation in the first 2 years and if there are any limitations on the amount of hours I need to work. I'm thinking of a change of direction once we settle.

There are no working resrictions after obtaining a 176 visa.

But you have to live in S.A. for 2 years.

Thanks for that. I would like to work part time in my sponsored occupation and try something else.

Absolutely no probs with staying SA for two years. I think my daughters would be pretty hacked off if I deserted them once they started uni LOL.

Still no change in the Wardle household, going raving mad now!

So glad you posted I was going mad on my own! Lol!

I am going to send them a mail tonight to see if there is a problem, someone on pio got approval today so they are still working.

I will let you know what they say.

Its sooo frustrating, but lets try to think positive. I mean I've heard a lot of people say 6-8 weeks and our paperwork was received 5 wks 1 day ago so its still not in that timeframe yet. I would imagine they've been flooded with applications since the SMP came out but the good news is that the occupations don't seem to be filling that quickly so far, most are still available.

Come on everyone lets club together with a load of positive thoughts - Positive energy is always a good thing! :wubclub:

We've all worked hard and all deserve this. One day we will all be sitting on a beach having a bbq in Oz. We should all make a pact that once we are all over there we'll have a big meet up - I feel this has been a bonding experience :):notworthy:
