Hi I'm looking for a short term rental down south either two or three bedroom for the month of November.

My children are both at port noarlunga p.s and has long has you don't compare it to The Uk school system it's ok. My oldest is in year 7 now and has an excellent teacher, but in an earlier year that wasn't the case and she ended up wasting her year 5. My son is in year 1 and I'm happy with his schooling except for the fact he is working about 12 months behind what he is capable off. Again as long as you don't compare schooling its ok, but it's hard not to at times. As for high schools their is Cardijn and Tachachilli (excuse the spelling) they both have good write ups and cost between $4000-6000 a year.

Much plumbing work in adelaide?
sharons dream replied to Leeallott's topic in Jobs, Careers, Vacancies
Hi I'm afraid I don't agree with smify. My oh is a plumber and was very lucky, just like smify to find work. I know a lot of plumbers at have unfortunity had to go home or change careers because they just could not find plumbing work. Most companies want cert 3 or above before they will consider you. This is time consuming and can be expensive. Sorry to have to tell you this but I need to tell you the truth. Uk Plumbers are struggling to find work here. -
Hi guys, a friend of ours is starting up a business and he's not on here but I thought I would do some research for them. He is planning on offering a roof painting service, he will jet wash and re paint the roof. Also on offer there will be, house and fence washing to get rid of cobwebs and dust etc. do you think th is is a service that could take off? Any advice welcome

Hello Angus. Welcome to Adelaide. I agree with everyone eles, go to your interviews it is not always that easy to find work here. I know people that have been here for two years and are still struggling to find proper work, we have seen people come and go because of the lack of work. Never pass the chance by. P.S hello, we are your neighbours, been here two years and enjoying the life x

Brighton is possibly the best as a public school, a lot of people wen the kids get to high school go private. Private over here isn't the same as in the uk. Woodcroft college at woodcroft lol is about 6-8000 a year, with a good reputation. My daughter is off to cardjn which is a catholic high school and that is 4000 a year. Don't forget the cost of uniforms, they sting you there a bit. As soon as u see Brighton you will want to go there, and not sea view. Good luck

Hi your NNEB will only be a certificate 3 here and you will have to do further study. There will be three units of e diploma to do and then the rest can be RPL (recognised prior learning) its a complete nightmare and not fair. I know this cause my friend had a NNEB and she has just done her diploma. I have a uk dipolma and having to do the same. Skills recognition centre in currie street will be the best place to start. They send your certificates of and then you will receive a letter confirming what level you are, you can then send your letter and qualification to ACECQA. Hope this helps

Hi we went to glenelg last year. They do an early display for kids and then one late for adults. We went to the early one cause we have young children but they were brilliant . Strange though standing on a beach on New Year's Eve watching the sunset.

NVQ Level 3 diploma in childcare - Australian equivalent
sharons dream replied to a topic in Jobs, Careers, Vacancies
Hi I have the same qualification as you. I also had 10 years experience. When I arrived in oz I had my skills assessed and yes I was a cert 4. In SA that doesn't mean anything. You are in between cert3 and a diploma. You have three units to complete and then rpl the rest of your work it will take about 3-6 months to get your diploma. Empolyers are now only advertising for diploma qualified staff as by 2014 all childcare workers need to either have or show they are working towards a diploma. Once you have signed on to a diploma course then the centres will look more favourable at you. Hope this helps if you need anymore info just ask x
