Don't forget to let us know when you have applied and we will add you to the list. If there is anything you need to know I am sure someone will come along who will know the answer.

How far along are you with your app ?

Hey guys,

Sorry to put a down post, I've been trying to stay positive and upbeat but all of a sudden I just feel really worried and panicky about the whole thing. Our applicaiton has been in nearly 6 weeks now & nothing & it is worrying me that I don't see many other people getting accepted either. I have noticed people getting accepted for WA sponsorship and I thought SA were supposed to be quicker!

I've emailed my agent (Go Matilda) to see if they can shed any light on things as I'm suddenly having a real major panic about it as we dont have enough points after the 1st of July so are running out of time & options!

Michelle, did you get a reply on your query?

Sorry for down post everyone, just not anyone else I can talk to about this who really understands.

Please Please let at least one of us get accepted tomorrow to give us hope!

Hi we didn't get a response but let's see tommorow. I think we are all going through the same emotions at the minute as for a lot of us it could be the last chance. Feel free to rant anytime, you would be surprised how many others will be thinking the same thing.

Out of interest what did gomatilda say?

Morning all, any good news out there?

No change for us again. the response to my query was to send me the how to check your status email. The only thing it confirmed was that it's 8 weeks from receipt of paperwork so up to another 2 weeks for us.

They didn't tell me that, I hope it is only another 2 weeks max don't think I could cope with any longer. I would fail my medical on the grounds of post application insanity lol!

No change in the Wardle household. Our 8 weeks is up on the 7th march and I now have a bad feeling too. I choose SA cause I throughout it was the best state for my two children to growing up in and I wouldn't even if I could change states. I just now hope the answer is yes cause I will be totally lost as tp what to do if it's bad news. I feel

Physically sick today especially as other people are now starting to air their concerns.

Morning,

No change again! My agent just told me the 8 weeks everyone already knows. I was hoping they would have solme knowlegde of other applications.

I have put a post on poms in oz asking if anyone has recieved state sponsorship recently, so hopefully might get some replies.

This really is stressful & to think it might take longer than 8 weeks is just soooo depressing! What a nightmare.

I'm just praying that someone gets it today at least to give us some hope.

Another long weekend for us...

Hi everyone, A recruitment consultant for BUPA international had advised me SA applications were going to take longer than 8 weeks because of the volume of applications. That was back when I had just applied in January. Someone on another thread, however, had said that was not accurate and I would get it through within a few weeks, obviously not!! Not checked yet this morning, getting fed up seeing the screen with 'application being assessed'.

Hi everyone,

Friday used to be a day I looked forward to! Now it just means that after hearing nothing from SA I have to wait until Monday morning until the anticipation of logging in comes around again! Talk about wishing time away.

I guess we have to look at it as character building and keep the faith that it will all be worth it in the end! :-)

At least we are able to see we're not the only ones suffering and a mass get together would be a fresh way to acknowledge our journeys once we are living in SA! Let's think positive - well at least over the weekend! ;-)

Hang in there

Hiya,

Thanks for your post, it would be lovely to meet up once we all get to Oz.

I'm trying to see the positive side of the weekend, ie I haven't got to check for a couple of days and I'm just trying to focus on other things for a couple of days (who am I kidding, spending all night on POA & POI lol) But I do feel a bit better than this morning.

We'll all get there in the end and talking does help.

Chin up hun,

I know we will get there in the end - there are people who are still doing skills assessments etc and haven't even applied for ss yet - at least our applications are in and we will be well up the list by now.

Stay strong & try to enjoy the weekend & take you mind off it.

Hugs xxx
