England v scotland

The thing about rugby is there is a time for kicking and a time for running, it's very much a game of tactics and responding to the conditions and opponents, so a little more thought required than just soccer... It is also a game where it is very hard for a player to change the position he plays in, as each is so specialised. Oh, and the players look soooo nice in those clingy shirts, and there's always a chance that someone will get his shorts ripped off.... sorry, digressed into girliness there for a moment!

You two obviously haven't been following CNN and Sky News today. It's a technical issue. Apparently, the entire world wide web has become overloaded today as a result of literally millions of messages of goodwill and support posted by people from all over the world, on the england rugby team's facebook site.

Diane told me earlier.........

As someone who has a Scottish father and an English (note. NOT Ingerlish!!) mother and am married to an Irish lass, am I the only one who is finding the blatantly racist comments about the English on this thread rather tiresome?

And calling it 'banter' does not deflect from the anti-English undertone I'm afraid. It's pure bigotry and nothing less.

Yeah, it's probably just you mate.

A bit ribbing and teasing is at the heart of british culture. If there's one thing we all have in common, it's our fondness for 'taking the mickey'. You can call it an 'undertone' and try to insinuate something stronger if you like, but frankly, it must makes you sound like a bit of a mope.

I'm sure everyone who has posted on here, myself included, has friends and family who are of the 'other side.' How can it be serious?

Lighten up bro.

Where All brothers, one big happy family giving each other ****.

i'm english and the only thing that offends me is when an aussie tells me I pronounce words wrong.

Now this thread is about rugby and as in any sport there's always a bit of stirring.

Found this and thought it might be helpful.

There is no room for this kind of language in sport of any kind! ;)
