We opened one at Commonwealth before we came over, then just had to show ID when we arrived (I think). I don't bank with them now though - gone with NAB as they don't charge regular account fees which many other banks do.

Hyundai Trajet GLS 2000, Seats up to 7, has a 2.7L V6 engine and is automatic transmission. This has been our family car, now selling as we are moving interstate. This vehicle can accommodate many infant car seats/ boosters and can also be used to move large items around due to the removable seats. We have had a queen bed and mattress and an 8 seater dining table in this car! Features: 15" Alloy Wheels 6 Speaker Stereo ABS (Antilock Brakes) Adjustable Steering Col. - Tilt only Air Conditioning - Dual Airbags - Driver & Passenger (Dual) Body Colour - Bumpers CD Player Central Locking Cruise Control EBD (Electronic Brake Force Distribution) Engine Immobiliser Headrests - Integrated 2nd Row Power Door Mirrors Power Steering Power Windows - Front & Rear Roof Rails Tacho The vehicle is reliable and has been regularly serviced. The air con was replaced less than 2 years ago and recently we had the shocks and spark plugs checked/ changed. The exterior paintwork has some sun damage and there is a parking scrape over the passenger wheel arch - these things are purely cosmetic. This is a car that just keeps on going! Odometer 221000kms Although a large car, the vehicle is cheap to insure, rego and run. Great value people mover at $2,999. Please call to arrange a test drive.

jo_marnes replied to jo_marnes's topic in Real Estate
tried to PM you but said you've elected not to receive PMs? Anyway, the house is a single story 4 bed, 3 living areas, evap cooling, gas heating, large flat yard, double drive and double garage. Since we moved in 6 yrs ago we have put in new kitchen, laundry and bathrooms. Would be expecting around $400 per week rent. Probably available mid April -
Hi all, Keen to get some up to date feedback from both landlords and tenants so as to work out which agents to contact if we rent out our Hallett Cove property. Good and bad feedback welcome - just keen to know what to look out for! Cheers, Jo

Private Schools in Marino, Brighton, Glenelg area?
jo_marnes replied to Mcgiverns's topic in Kids Down Under
Take a look at Sacred Heart College Middle School (boys)/ Marymount (girls) and Sacred Heart Senior School also -
My eldest went with friends today - reports that the fort isn't open yet. Still, he spent the whole day there so there must be plenty to do!
-
Our eldest goes to Sacred Heart College Middle School although this may be out of your area. It is a boys school for yrs 6-9, but there is a girls equivalent - Marymount College. The two schools then combine again for senior school on a different campus. We are not Catholic, but simply chose this school as it seemed the best for our Son. I have been MORE than impressed, the school is well equipped, has excellent teaching, excellent parent-teacher relations and is streets ahead of the state primary he used to go to. I don't know your kids ages but it can be hard to get in to Sacred Heart if you don't go to a feeder school, so I'd consider finding a feeder primary if they are younger.

You guys are doing it wrong if you're spending that much lol. we are a family of 5 and it has never cost us more than $100. Kids aren't allowed on rides (too expensive and after last year, my reasons were proven!) but we've never even had time. So much free entertainment, animals, main arena events. We eat food samples, spend on treats and take a packed lunch. The kids have $5 for a showbag and if they want a more expensive one they have to use their pocket money - but as others have said, mostly its overpriced crap so they don't tend to bother. I remember doing the whole day for less than $50 when some of the kids were free to get in.....

Yup, all my three are in the above group (although not that photo). We have a joey, a cub and a scout - great outings, opportunities and an excellent club for the non-sporting also

Just redecorated my son's room and his old pine desk (3 drawers, built in bookshelf) and pine 3 drawer bedside are up for grabs. Both solid pieces but desk has child's graffiti on the top . Could probably be sanded back and revarnished by someone handy, or just used as an interim freebie for someone needing stuff now. Both free to collect from Hallett Cove - taking up too much room in the garage! Please send PM or call 0401918955. Cheers, Jo

If you aren't getting any interviews I'd say the issue is your CV. The majority of people have terrible CVs according to a few friends who work in HR. I know my own was certainly awful until I had it professionally done. This was back in the UK but I have used the same (updated) template which got me the two jobs I wanted here in Adelaide. My husband also used it, scoring him his first job here from the UK and more recently, his new job having been made redundant earlier this year. He also scored another 4-5 interviews with that CV - in IT - another difficult jobs market here in SA. Another thing people fail to do well is address the job person specification and demonstrate how they are able to meet it. With hundreds of applications, they aren't even going to bother checking the rest of the application if you don't make it obvious that you can fulfil the role. Applications are difficult - it might be worth getting some professional advice xxx
