Weve got our meds tomorrow in Manchester and an email has arrived from the police about our checks, so hopfully there on the way back.

 

I haven't been on for a while just needed a brake from it all ,but back in gear again now ,we are all a bit worried about tomorrow,but we have decided whats the point it won't change anything:)

 

I got my police certs 1 week after I got my email... so not long now... good luck with ur meds

Cara please turn me purple can't beleive visa granted today. It is quite the most bizarre feeling. Good luck to everyone else it does happen even when you don't think it will. Booking flight for recctie trip next month now. Anyone know best place for flights?

Dr Smith was fab, so funny and great with the kids, make sure you take plenty of change with you we parked right outside the clinic and it cost £5.40 for 1 half hours and we did it in time, failing that there is a NCP accross the road.

 

I worry about everything, my husband takes it all in his stride but you know how it is when you have kids its one thing uprooting them from everything they know just don't want too much stress for them.

I am starting to think that too, a few beers or off on holiday/sick?

 

I am dying to email my agent but the thought of it really gets to me due to the reply I received last week! My agent bsically said I shouldnt be comparing myself, so that will be the response to any other email. I will leave it till Monday and if nothing by then I will call them and ask them to email my CO.

 

I can only think something isnt quite right, not too sure? I am getting really worried about it

We didnt hear from the Police Checks until they were returned to us, you should have them back by the 21st of June as its 10working days to process!

 

Dont worry about the medicals, you will be fine! I was dreading them also our Dr was great and explained everything and also told me the results of everything that she could there and then!

Hopefully the police checks will be back before the deadline but we're going to miss it anyway as our meds are on same day as deadline. We've told the agent and they are going to apply for an extension.

Dont worry about the timeline, this isnt an issue as long as you confirm you have made the request for PC and CO know the high demand and the timescales involved with the medicals so they will be OK with this. Thats what my agent advised anyways.

 

Hahaha no they dont ask you to touch your toes, that made me giggle. You do a urine sample, they test this for diabeties and other things, they do a bllod test which is for HIV and they do a chest x-ray. Thye nurse can give you the urine results there and then, the HIV one wont be ready for up to 48 hours and the chest x-ray I asked if everything looked OK and they said yeah.

 

They ask if you smoke, drink, how your diet and if you excerise. Honestly nothing to worry about, if you can cope with everything else this will be a breeze and also the last thing you have to do, so enjoy it!

I posted my UK ones on 25th May & got them back on 13th June... add a day either end for the fact that im in Ireland... more or less 10 working days!!!

I'm sure the delay is not due to any major reason. If that were true surely they'd be asking for some more info from you? I'm sure it will be ok like you say maybe holiday or sickness is the explanation.

I'm sure there is nothing wrong at all, your case officer is either off or really busy - but I would probably chase it up as I'm sure they will grant your visa straight away.

 

I can understand why you're anxious but there won't be anything wrong I'm absolutely sure of that.

Hi Sarah,

We have been investigating that area. Its important for us to be close to a good primary school. My partner travels in his job so its not a problem where we are from his work. We have also looked at Happy Valley and Woodcroft. Just generally investigating really.

We are aiming to make the Jump May 2012.!!

 

Yes it's difficult to know when you have no idea on the areas and communities. My son has been attending taster sessions in the primary he will start in September and it's so lively I hope we find somewhere as good when we move.

 

We have our meds on Tuesday, once they are dine fingers crossed it won't be long until our visa cones through, it's been a long wait.
