We started the process in February 2010, lodged visa application on the 14th November 2010 and finally got our visa's on the 19th April 2011. Put the house on the market on 29th April and accepted an offer on the 29th June, completed and moved out on the 29th July!!! It's been a whirlwind couple of months!!

We are now in rented accomodation for a couple of months until we fly out to Adelaide on 7th November with singapore airlines. We have got a furnished rental in Port Noarlunga until early January. Bank account now open, shipping quotes coming in and now getting very very excited!!!

Hi leane, our shippers told us 8-10 wks so should arrive about 2-4 weeks after we arrive and maybe 1-2 weeks in quarantine. So should have plenty of time to find rental. Save paying for storage.

I think to validate your visa ,you just need to land at an airport in Oz, you will be given a time that you must do this by,usually no more than a year from the start date of your visa.

sorry not posted on this thread yet. We fly out on the6th sept arrive 8th. Have short term for 3 weeks in hackham. Then the search starts for longer rental or buy.Had packers in today PSS and the 2 blokes were sound. Finish work next week and complete sell of house on friday. Its all go now.
