I know it doesn't mean anything but at least they remember me. ..lolzz. .

I was thinking. .what is the need of police clearance from us if they are doing our thorough investigation through so called top secret agencies in top secret way. ..???

I guess they wanted to show you that you are in the system.

May be they wanted to say: "Keep waiting, keep waiting, keep waiting ... ".

Technically cause there are two separate criteria you need to fulfill:

 

1. You are of a good character (No police records or judgments against you in courts)

2. You are not a threat to national security (ASIO ESC)

 

The police check does not go beyond checking electronically police/court records to see if there's anything against you. On the other hand there's no pre-defined scope of ASIO checks. They may do as much investigation as they want and may do so for as long as they want until they conclude you are threat to national security or not.

 

But yeah I agree with what you mean in principal

Received 1 st request about my wife birth cert and 2 years living in end of May

 

PR granted this morning 18 June

 

about 6x days.

Hey , applied on 5th April 2015 . CO allocated on 1st June and docs submitted on 3rd June , and resubmitted on 16th June ,Grant 17th finally .

I was not even aware of anybody looking into my applicaton. Only as I did get an email for further details I did know that someone has actually touched the application however, the status kept remaining "Application received". So don't worry too much, I guess your application has been touched already but you don't see it immidiately in the system.

 

And from what I have learnt is that calling the department is leading to nowhere. I have never received an answer which has satisfied my request....sadly ...

Can you please tell me whether we have to provide the PCC for the countries where I lived prior to apply 489 visa, as I have already provided it during applying 489 visa.
