Hi. We have a sofa bed which you can have if you collect it. It's not much to look at but we used it for 18 months before we upgraded. We just put a throw on it. We're at Aberfoyle Park. As mentioned above , the laptop will need to be disassembled , vents and fans cleaned out , dust removed and a new layer of thermal paste between the CPU and heatsink will need to be applied. Alex

Hi Everyone My son has his own computer repair business and has some professionally refurbished machines for sale (Desktops). Currently about 40 available but not all have been refurbished yet. They are about 3 years old , have Pentium 4 CPU's (2.4ghz-3ghz) , between 512mb and 1gb of memory and a fresh copy of either windows XP Home or Pro installed on them. In thoery the answer is yes but i cant see why you would want to do this for a home PC! Mobile Internet sticks are very expensive compared to home broadband , you will be paying more , less download usage and slower speeds all for convenience , which isnt necessary when your at home! If your internets too much , go to Adam Internet - 100gb ADSL2+ no excess charges for $50 a month! - Thats what we're on! Alex

Name and shame! Who on earth quoted you $600-$800 for a new motherboard? Knock a 0 off the end of those and your back in the right price range This is a desktop after all! My son has lots of parts going around and his own computer repaiar business if you still need this looking at
