  1. Does anyone have a pool for sale? We saw one of those frame type at bunnings and just thought maybe someone has one that they don't use anymore. Thanks
  2. There are some stunning beaches and some really great areas to stay, in the South! Christies beach is being upgraded at the moment and houses are still well priced. Get a short term rent, get a car and do some driving. You will soon get a feel for different areas.
  3. Thank you so much for this. I am with AGl and I wasn't getting any discount. gave them a call and they first said 5%. When I said that I had been offered more discount to change to someone else they increased it to 10. Bloody hell just for the sake of a phone call. Chris
  4. Great. Congratulations. Magic feeling isn't it. The best of luck to you. Chris
  5. Will there be anyone inside it...like a Trojan horse?
  6. Just get the hell out of there. Lots of houses have asbestos and it's safe if sealed and you don't cause dust (drilling). Exposed asbestos is another story though. Maybe give the Office of consumer and business afairs a call. They will give you loads of help. I called them about an issue myself and was real impressed. In the meantime...move!!! Chis
  7. Not a lot of people want to rent out to folk with dogs. problem with fleas, hair and crap!
  8. Try Ashby and hoff in Morphett Vale. My mate used them and he got good advice and a hefty return.
  9. $90.000 and living on beans! Must be bloody magic beans that grow bean stalks. The more some people earn then the more debt they take on. Tea time must be great, like something out of Blazing Saddles!

    The water here

You can get Stella from Dan Murphy's so why would anyone want to drink water?
  11. We also stayed with Tamara at homes down under and it was great. the place was actually better than the pictures and we were worried before arriving cos we thought there was a catch with the price being so cheap. Talk about clean, it was bloody spotless. best things about it was that it had everything like a wii for the kids, a computer and printer and the calls to the Uk were free. Great place in a great suburb, close to the beach and shops and the pool. She also picked us up from the airport for free and took us around to sort out the paperwork. Sure made it easy to settle in and without her for the reference I don't think it would have been so easy to get a house. Chris
  12. And there is some crap out there too. All these 1960's houses and they want to charge a fortune for them. it's live going back in a time warp with many of the homes. Chris
  13. I have a friend who used it and they hated it. They were housed in a ghetto with really suspect people around and were afraid to walk outside the house. guess that it was luck of the draw where they put you. Chris
  14. I had loads of bugs in my house and the bomb canisters work the best. you get them at all the supermarkets and hardware stores and they last for months Chris
  15. This sounds good. I will try and get down there. see ya. Chris
  16. Hello Leigh, brave move to do it by youself. If you fancy a beer sometime? Just bought a few stellas! Best of luck mate.
  17. I was in town today and the torens was overflowing. Is this really Australia? Remember the tv ad for zebra crossings; "wish i'd brought my brolley!"
  18. I just got $200 paid into my bank account for a wshing machine that I bought 3 months ago. Took a while but it paid for my box of stella today. cheers!
  19. Great stuff. Just like back home. They have specials as well which is great. The shop is nothing special but the grubs good.
  20. Maybe you will be back. I reckon it's better here than in the UK but I understand the issue with the job. Don't you think that you might have the same problem if your son stays here? Best of luck .
  21. Enjoy it. Best move we made as well.
  22. Thanks for this. This is real useful
  23. Hello Trevor.I stayed in port Noarlunga for a few weeks and loved it. You can walk to everything that you need. The beach is really stunning and I loved to walk along the promenade. Have alook on google for the pictures. Can't say much about Morphett Vale, drive past it all the time and a mate from work lives in a housing trust house there. Don't move next to him though.
