Thanks for posting this, have you decided yet? We have a 8yr old cat, and I can't decide what to do!!?? My vet says it is as stressful to rehome her (hopefully with my brother) as to take her. She is such a nervy wee thing who is often half bald from anxiety overgrooming, and has a titanium pole in her leg (£2500 paid by tesco insurance, very impressed), but she is ours and can't really imagine being without her and do belive you take animals on for life, but it does seem a huge amount of money! OH not as keen to take her cos he's not sure how long it'll take him to get work? He says we should lodge her at my brothers till we get settled but think this is him trying not to take her! How ridiculous am I to feel so guilty! Gill x

Well done for keeping going! We finally got our 176 application in three weeks ago, and apart from checking the progress ridiculously often (!) there isn't much else we can do now, except wait for the SMP! Good Luck, hope to hear good news for us all soon Gill and Mal x

Hi I am a RN and we have just applied for a 176 visa, so can't comment on processing time yet! Hopefully I won't still be posting in two years!? I can say though that we applied without an agent, and although a wee bit hassley, the online system stright forward and it has only cost £1600 so far, we will still have medicals (£300) and hopefully final installment to pay which is about £1500 if visa granted. Hi All Yes I am now even more confused, I recieved the document checklist at the end of my online application and i then uploaded all the info asked for, but an email from DIAC does also say form 80 and 1221, although lots of the questions covered in the online form. Should I complete them then add these too, and for just myself or my OH too? Already panicked cos thought I had accidentally added my parents and brothers to my application! Am thinking a migration agent would have been good!? My hubbie thinks its easy cos I'm a nurse but why am I doing all the work? Maybe he'll pay me as the agent? Gill x

Thats awful! I managed to get to the end, and think I have attached our documents, was quite simple as they were JPEG scans, and I was able to upload them all without changes. (I think!) I also think the whole thing is a test as each bit of the process has changed just as I get to it! Good Luck! Gill x

Hi! We also have just got SA SS approval! Have started 176 application and am at about 95% and keep panicking about document attachment! Have you got to the document request yet? I am waiting for hubbie to get home and check what we've done so far before going to next page, it is ridiculously nerve wracking! Gill x:unsure:
