What TV shows should I be watching?

I need a new or old TV series or 2 to get hooked on and immerse myself in for a while now the winter nights are here.

Anyone got any suggestions for a series or TV show I may have overlooked?

I'll give you a list of shows I've watched and loved (and re watch or when they are on TV I tune in) that might help with the suggestion list :cute:

Gilmore Girls (I'm team Rory and Jess)

Battlestar Galactica (the remake)

Firefly

Buffy the Vampire Slayer

Angel

Life on Mars

Judge John Deed

NCIS (I'm a sucker for Mark Harmon)

ER (The Doug Ross years especially)

Castle (yeah, Nathan Fillion soft spot, Dr Horrible anyone?)

Hubby has GoT ready to go and I've watched a couple but need to try it again.

Being Human, then once you've seen Aiden being badass in that, Poldark!

Game of Thrones (from the beginning) - don't get attached to any of the characters and look out for Lily Allen's brother about whom she wrote the song "Alfie" (plays Theon Greyjoy)

Breaking Bad (apparently - next on my list)

True Blood

The Project

The Weekly

Would I Lie to You

I tried one episode of GoT and decided it was too unnecessary, a bit like 50 Shades of Grey.

I however do like Love Child (on catch-up so I don't have to bother with the adverts),

How to Get Away With Murder is good when it's on (it's a good job I've got it on series tag because it's so sporadic),

Utopia is funny,

last year we did all of the Life on Mars/Ashes to Ashes series,

Last Tango in Halifax is easy watching,

I loved Ally McBeal too,

and Rake has to be one of my all time favourite programmes - worth moving halfway round the world for :)

And if it's sci-fi you're really into we've got all of Blake's 7 on DVD you can borrow...

Does anyone watch the SBS stuff?

I never thought that a subtitled Swedish telly programme like Real Humans could be so addictive.

Doesn't anyone watch Housos?

Quite get what you mean about subtitled shows. Some can be really good to watch.

Never seens Housos. Whats is about?
