Ok the venue for the next couple of months will be Hallett Cove Uniting Church.

Caroline Has spoken to those in the know and they are letting us use this venue while the weather is a little cooler.

The church has a table hockey for the kids, tea and coffee making facilities etc etc so I think it will do us just fine

Next meet then Sunday 5th June 3pm Hallett Cove Uniting Church....we'll be the only ones there so don't let it being in a church put you off.

The church is on the corner of Zwerner Drive and Ramrod Ave.

I know we already have a few who are definately coming - it'll be great to all meet up again. Can't wait to catch up with everyone.

If any of you really newbies want to get in touch PM me and I'll send you my phone number.

Hi Rob and Mel

we are newly arrived in Adelaide, 2 weeks today, would love to come along to the next meet and meet some new folks. As we will be transport-less for the next while is it easy enough to get the bus/train there from Brighton, know Hallett Cove is just down the road...but still finding our way around!

Many Thanks

Jill

Hi we are new to the SA. Originally from Nthn Ireland lived in Sydney and recently moved to Adelaide with work. I am Chelsie aged 35 with 3 children 13, 9 and 6. We are currently in Coromandel Valley Area and would love to meet new families. We enjoy play days, walks, reading, cooking and craft. :D

Hello Chelsie,

We are over in Aberfoyle park so not to far.

Our youngest is nearly 4 and our oldest is 6.

Try and come to the next meeting as there are always quite a few children for yours to play with while you have a chat with the adults.

Give us a shout is you want to have a chat.

Hi Tracy, Yes you are right that is pretty much what we talk about. It is kind of a support network, people tend to talk about the things that they have struggled with. You can ask whatever you like and there is usually someone who can help. It is also just a get together a chance to socialise. Most of us left our closest friends back in the UK, but these meet ups have been a great place to make some brilliant new friends. It is amazing how you hit it off with people who have been through such a life changing experience. Hopefully by September the weather might be warm enough to go to the beach or park again but if not the room at the church has been great. We usually put the venue on this thread, just before the 1st Sunday of each month, so look out for it. Everyone is welcome. Hope to see you then.

Hi , we are moving out to Adelaide at the end of August so we will keep an eye on this thread.

Would be great to meet with likeminded people who have been through the emigration process. Hope to make the September meet.

See you soon.
