Moderator - Can you consider making this thread sticky please so people don't miss it...we had 3 this month who didn't see the thread in time so making it sticky would really help.

Time: 1st Sunday Every Month 3pm

What you'll need: Depending on the weather you may like to bring some nibbles, a drink or even a picnic or barbie food..there are free electric barbies available although sometimes they are busy...or there's a small cafe.

Venue: Kingston Park, Adelaide - right next to the Brighton Caravan Park and Holiday Village ON THE BEACH...look for an Ozzie flag just down the steps and some beach chairs.

What its like: Its a sandy beach with a few stoney patches the sand stretches all the way to Glenelg, there is a car park and a kids park, a good amount of shady area away from the beach too and some loos. The holiday park is small and nice. Bring your dog if you like.

Directions: Proceed South from Glenelg along Brighton Road which eventually becomes Lonsdale Road, when you start to climb up the hill (its a very long hill) watch for the camp site sign..you get about 200m warning to turn it will direct you left down Schofield Road towards the sea. ...(if you get to Hallett Cove then you've missed the sign and you've gone too far). Keep following the signs for Kingston House and the campsite (its really well signed) until you reach the campsite/holiday village. We'll fly an Ozzie flag (it was too embarrassing with an England one)...just in case you don't hear the accents and aren't sure its us - if its very windy look for us on the grassed area to the left of the campsite.

If you want my mob PM me, I'll check for messages around 1pm (Sunday) and if you leave your mob number I'll ring or text you.

Hi - sorry I am very new to this site & only been in Adelaide 2 weeks now. Just moved with my husband & 2 children (Lewis 5 & Niamh 2) - do you have these monthly meetings still? do you hold them whatever the weather (as it is chucking it down at the moment) We are keen to get into some sort of socialising ...

many thanks

Rachel

This is a right turn onto Scholefield Road, not a left.

Hi everyone,

spoke to Caroline on Sunday, she says keep checking this board because the meeting this Sat may be outside if the weather is forecast good.

See you all there

Hi Caroline

I am interested in coming along this sun.

We have been here 4 months and could do with a meet up. Although we have been busy, it would be good to meet people in same boat...

I will be by myself (husband away presently) with Jack (1), so will have stroller in tow!!

Directions are not always my strongest point!, 0449 257 724. Is it definitely on at the Kingston Park venue this Sun? thanks v much sue

Ok Guys,

Due to popular demand this months meet up will be Sat (today) 3pm at the wooden castle at Nouralunga....for those of you who don't know it stick on the Lonsdale Road through Hallett Cove, keep going past Lonsdale, Christies Beach etc , once you get near Nouralunga don't turn off...its on the same road and you WON'T miss it....mob 0451502859 for anyone who needs to get in touch. Next month though we'll have to be back to the usual beach location at Kingston. Moving makes it difficult for newbies to keep up with where we'll be...so we always said we'd stick to the same venue....Sat though not Sunday....I'll ask moderator to change the first post. Another month and we'll be glad of the cool sea anyway !......come on summer !

See you all there....ps if you missed because we moved give me a ring on that mob as we often meet up during the month too.

There seems to be an awful lot of confusion as to whether these meet-ups are now on sautrdays or sundays, and the location. Maybe the title/first post could be updated, or a new thread started to replace this one in the stickies? At the very least, could someone post the date/time/place of next weekend's meet please...

All back to normal now guys...the winter is over ....yehhhhh (thought it would never end).

Back on the beach this Sunday as per normal summer arrangements...we've now been meeting there for over a year....can't believe it's been so popular.

Any way...enough of my waffle. Sunday 7/11 at Kingston beach by the caravan park. We'll be there making the most of the lovely weather that's forecast.

Can't wait to meet all of you who couldn't make the last one.

See you there :)
