Banksia park is situated at the top end of tea tree gully in the north east of adelade just for you guys who are not here yet. Great place to be.......especially for the kids!!!!

  9. Since moving here we have found this statement to be so true,,,our eldest daughter struggled for 5 months after coming over from the uk ,with a first class honours degree to get any sort of work,,even at coles and woolies . Eventualy after a word with a friend in the fox and firkin, and, she managed to get a job at the royal adelaide hospital ! Her boyfriend was in the same boat and we had a word with a guy we knew who worked at a well known wardrobe and bathroom manufacturer and hey presto! instant job! We are now trying to find somebody who can help our 16 year old daughter get a part time weekend job , she has been down all the routes of trudging round with her c.v,follow up calls, applying online to all the usual suspects, all to no avail, we arent giving up hope because we know eventualy a word in the right ear will get her the job she has been so desperately searching for,,,so if any of you guys can help, please pm me.
  10. Hubby usually speaks on open forum but I very, very rarely do.............. as Clare says we dont need the negativity when we are having 'fragile' moments.....and the move itself is often enough to deal with! I private message people if I feel I can help in any way......

  17. We packed almost everything..............had a major clean out and declutter...but we brought washer, dryer, tvs, dvd players, sofa, shelving, kids beds and mattresses, pics, ornaments, kids bits and bobs.....lots of shoes and handbags, warm coats (haha - we thought - and now we are wearing them), oil heaters, curtains....omg we brought heaps of stuff.........quilts, bedding,...........only things we didnt bring were microwave and kettle/toaster and our bedroom furniture!!! when we got here we got our rental and borrowed stuff (luckily had family and friends here).....and as for the washer - well I had to wait 5 weeks...so hand washed and carried a bin liner if we EVER visited anybody.......so as to wash our stuff thru!!! Apart from the cost of buying all new........it's very comforting to unpack all your own stuff and give some familiarity back .......coz it's a big move - So my vote would be to - Move your stuff - Best o Luck
