looks like this is not the Friday we are waiting for, I guess it is not only me who is impatient, cannot really focus at my work these days. When will our dream to be in SA come true? I want to dive, snorkel, take the kid to the beach, fish, oh, so many things...

Congratulations ozdreamsa. Fingers crossed that Lexbunde will hear tomorrow. My docs were recevied 20th so I'll hope for a decision by Wed! Its very exciting...how long do you think the 176 will take to be processed? I see so many people on this forum who seem to have been between Feb-Jun 2011 within what looks like 4-5 months.

The DIAC website states the processing time as 12-18 months (priority 3), does anyone know if the priority for state sponsorship on a level 2 before July 2011, or are DIAC just covering themselves and processing much quicker? Also wonder how the rule changes has impacted on the number of applicants. I know an agent I spoke to back in Feb sugested that far fewer people would be eligible to apply...hoping this will speed things along as I want to go in Jan 2012 if possible!

Thank you guys, you will hear from SA soon, no doubt.

When SS was on priority 2 processing, DIAC mentioned the processing time as 12 months.

But, I have took some statistics from some forum's posts and I can see that the current average processing time is 4/5 months like the way eclare had mentioned. Oviously, the no. of applicants had decreased significantly from July, 2011 as to claim point in IELTS the min is 7 in all bands, so, previous applicants who had lower score or want to claim extra point by achivinf IELTS 8 have to sit again which takes time. And also the band for ages have changed.

My wife is from HR country and I guess I have to wait a long time for 176, will this dream of living in a sunny, beautiful OZ will ever come true?

Time will tell, so far we are right on track.

Congratulations..

Eclare, when you started online application, do you see the checklist? And can you save and come back to that later?

Once you start online 176 application, do you get the TRN no.? If so, did you send it to SA by e-mail or you could generate the form 1100? I have not started yet, just trying to gather all the documents first, but looks like I can apply online and will have 30 days to upload scanned docs, is my understanding correct? Sorry, too many questions, I am so excited and all to be perfect...

It's all so exciting, no apologies necessary! Fortunately I had today already booked off work and not back until Tuesday so I can let it all sink in. We had some grown up time this afternoon scheduled anyway so had a couple of glasses of really nice wine bar to celebrate while the kids were in nursery!

Anyway, yes started the 176. As soon as you save a page you get a TRN number and asked to register a password. I did this after completing all the passport info and left the system. I couldn't log back in so presumed I written the number down wrong in my excitement. There is no way to get your password or TRN number so you have to start again which I did. This 'cut & paste' the number into an email and carry on much further in to the application (about 60% complete I think). Again I leave the system but aI haven't been able to log back in yet. Not sure if it takes 24 hours or so for the system to recognise the password but its a pain. I'm going to try again tomorrow otherwise we will have to try and complete it in one go. A real pain and I don't want to to it by paper as I have 95% of the docs already scanned and ready to go.

Haven't sent anything to SA yet as I think you can only do that once the application is complete and lodged. You have 30 days but do watch out as there is some planned downtime on their system so I suggest if you 30 days falls over a week day make sure you have it lodged on a week day OZ time just in case. It would be terrible to run out of time after all the expensive and anxiety this far. Don't see where I could generate the form 1100 but you can move back and forth between the sections so I guess it will be there...if I can ever log back in....as I said will wait 24 hours and see if that makes a difference. There is also a health form that you need to download when you are in the application (for you medicals I think it said) otherwise you need to email DIAC and get it which I guess could cause a delay.

Suggest you start and on-line application and save just 1 page...see if you can then log back. if anyone else has experienced this I would appreciate some advice. Good luck, let me know how your progressing.

Cheers CC

Hi,

Congratulations to those who got their state sponsorship!

My boyfriend applied online on the 19th of July, unfortunately it took DHL almost week to deliver papers and on SMP the level changed from High Availability to Medium.

Also, after they received docs (25-07), the Application Decision row appeared with 'No decision yet' status. It was like that for a week and for some reason it got back to "Immigration SA is unable to provide an indication of processing times. Keep monitoring this page and your e-mail for the decision on your application."

I know it may be too early to expect the answer, but that change worries me a bit. As if we lost CO, or went to the bottom of the pile.

Anyone had such situation? I read here that after 'No decision yet' comes decision, but not in our case :/ We fulfil all the criteria, although God knows whether they haven't reached the level for Medium :/

Thank goodness taught it was just me!! same thing occurred to me and I was pretty pissed off when the 'No decision yet' line went off earlier today. Hopefully we'll get a positive status on Monday

Jerrychokes - thanks for response. I'm getting really nervous about it :/

When did you apply ? Could you post dates of: online application and when they received your docs?

Any idea what this means and how much time it will take to get sponsorship.

Hiya Bob,

It means they have your application completely now, so its just a waiting game to get someone to look at it (when it gets updated with 'decision not yet made' or something - a new line appears on your tracker basically), and then you get your decision. It was taking about 2 weeks after the documents were received, it looks a like maybe a little longer now, so could be anywhere between 3 weeks and the 8 weeks they quote? Good luck :)

Hey there!

I logged mine on 12th July and they got the paperwork on the 29th july. Was told they are processing really fast at the mo so it shouldn't be long for you. Strangely we had a line removed - the 'no decision yet' disappeared! I've become obsessed at looking at progress form though!! Am so desperate to get to adelaide! Fingers crossed:confused:
