What you guyz recon should we contact immi department or no? For updates?

I have heard there is no use, as we are all still "within sevice standard" for processing time. :( And service standard now is 8-10 months. We can try, but I doubt our query will be honoured! :)

Hi Neel, as per my knowledge, newborn or any child or partner only added in 887 application if they included in 887 visa application form. I have same situations but I added my newborn in my 887 visa application form and notify immigration by 1436 form

Hi all guys,

I just got the email from CO.

- Applied 26-Oct-2017

- Today 03-Apr-2018, CO Sophorn asked for required documents:

  • Australian Federal Police (AFP) clearance National Police Check
    • Updated - name as per your passport and aliases. Please refer below for further information
  • Colour copy of your passport - Newborn
  • Certified copy of your birth certificate - Newborn ( I note you have applied for the certificate)

- Notes:

  • My son was born 2 weeks before (mid of March) then I updated form 1022 for the newborn baby.
  • AFP further information:

When entering your name on the National Police Check Application Form, ensure
your legal name is entered as shown on your current passport. You must also include
any previous names you have been known by, any aliases and/or anglicised names.
List all names in the National Police Check Application Form, matching the order and
format of the name in your passport. If the name on the police clearance certificate
received by us is different from your passport or does not list any aliases you have
been known by, you will be requested to obtain another police certificate. You should
use code 33 'Immigration/Citizenship - for supply to the Department of Home Affairs'
for the purpose of the check.

Good luck to all!

Thanks for the info Daniel.

If my name on the passport is A B C (last, middle, first name format). How should I fill in the AFP form? C for last name, A B for given name? it would show as C, A B on the AFP result. Or  A for last name, C B for given name? it would then show as A, C B on the AFP result. My brain hurts

Hey,

In my case, I have put my surname(in passport) as the surname in AFP. the first name is passport as the first name in AFP & all other names in given name field.

So for example,

in passport,

   Surname: D

   Given Name: A B C

In AFP:

  Surname: D

 First Name: A

other names: B C

In AFP certificate name appear as D, A B C

in NPC, they put our surname first & then all other given names which is fine I think

Hi HoangDeKiem

I can give you an example of your nickname "Hoang De Kiem". Last name: Hoang, middle name: De and first name: Kiem.

They are matching in AFP form as Last name: Hoang, First Given Name: De, Other Given Name: Kiem.

By this way, you will get the AFP name exact in your passport.

Especially, you should provide all your alias names (as known by) in AFP form, if you have any names (different orders) in your IMMI uploaded documents.

Good luck!!!

Hi guys

I m manisha. I m new in this fourm. I applied 887 on 22 nov 2017. How do we check the status.

HI Manisha,

I applied on 19th October, you just have to see immi status,

for instance, when i log in it still shows- file received and will be assessed. I still have no CO allocated.

so i guess, apparently you have to keep a watch on your email n immi account, perhaps for a direct grant or a co allocation asking for any pending documents,=.

Hi Manisha,

Welcome to our group of friends!  As the guys already said,  login to you immi account to check your status,  of course, if you applied yourself and you have access to it.  But don't panic yet,  as soon as CO is allocated or visa granted they will email you. And your turn will be probably in a month's time - roughly. :) So - don't worry. :)

Hi Daniel,

Did you extract AFP further information from CO's email. BY the way , is there any field to enter any previous names and aliases on online AFP application. I am not sure.
