Hello November people, are you still in the forum. Please make some noise, if you have been contacted by a case officer please let us know. I believe there are more people outside this excel sheet if you know someone you can update the excel sheet as well.

I know mate, you want them to touch November so that it means December 18 applicants are next. I always predicted that we would be contacted/receive grants before end Feb, I am still hopeful!!

@nudgee I thought you mentioned in a previous post not long ago that you received a reply on your complaint stating that you were going to be contacted again within 15 business days. That didn't happen?

Call them, email them, 10x a day!

I always live by the quote: "A 'no' you have, a 'yes' you can get. But you need to ask. "

Is there any particular reason that you reckon might have caused the delay your application?

Hi everyone we’ll soon be due to apply for the PR but I was wondering, is there a time period before the benefits of PR are accessible? Referring specifically to Medicare and university fees. I have a child finishing high school soon and going to Uni, will we be immediately eligible to get the domestic student fees instead of international fees? Thanks for your insights it’s nice having informed people to ask.

GRANT  GRANT

APPLIED 13/9/2018

pre grant 28 /11/2019 ( was  outside Australia)

arrived aus 19/12/2019 and informed immi same day.

complained 30/01/2020

grant 3/2/2020

lived in a shared house mostly and had only 6 month lease on my name in 24 months .

documents I submitted

bank statement for 2 years, phone bill for 2 years, lease agreement for six months, then stat dec for remaining months that I stayed with shared house, payslips for 52 weeks , tax documents, pcc india and Australia, updated Australia pcc after one year.

that’s it.

dont get stressed too much those who applied 887. Take only information you needed in this forum and stay calm. You’ll get yours. Complain once if you think you uploaded all documents.

any single applicants pls don’t hesitate to contact me for help.
thank you

Once you apply for PR then you are immediately eligible for medicare however not eligible for domestic student fees until PR is granted. We are going through the same issue, my son completed schooling at the end of 2019 but may need to have a gap year before going to Uni if our PR does not come through soon.

Actually not that much workload for them, they could only use one month's  or ten days time to process all of them. We all pay heaps of fees for 489 & 887, they just need to do  their job, stop playing games. Now they don't even need to process tourists visa that much due to the virus.

Thanks for sharing the information.. Looks like Feb 2020 update on processing will provide a view on how things will progress for next 6 -8 months.. As January update did not mean anything in terms of application processing.. seems to be a status quo.

Dear All,

Quick question about 887 AFP check ? do we need to get AFP check for both my self (main applicant) and my wife/ 1 year old kid ?

/Thanks,

AFP is required for all applicants who are 18 and above.. so AFP is needed just for you n your wife, not for your kid.
