We are currently updating our skills assessment process to benefit applicants - a new format for skills assessment result letters became effective from 15th August 2011, whereby the result letter no longer states the Group type. The absence of this information is unlikely to affect your migration visa application with the Department of Immigration.

 

Masamr and Kamalg - congratulations on your SS for Analyst Programmer - looks like you both made it by the skin of your teeth as it's now reached it's quota!! Congratulations also to all those who have been granted their visas!! We're just waiting to be assigned a case officer but have booked our medicals.

 

Helchops - we were granted 176 SS on 8th December if you can update the tracker.

Hi Bevev, you CO will most likely do you a mail today latest tomorrow, they normally communicate once they have flagged the submitted docs. Maybe even ask for meds if all are in order and not from HR country. Good luck buddy and welcome aboard painful waiting team.

can someone please advise me on payment options for 176 application

 

i am hoping to lodge online application - in this case can payment be only made with a credit card OR can i make a payment via Bank Draft to the Australian High Commission of country i am residing in ?

I would think that's a very safe guess. If you haven't already got your Meds and police' date=' then get them organised.

Some members who had already uploaded the Meds with the Police checks went staright to VISA granted with out ever been notified of a case officer being appointed.

Congratulations, Chris J! Excellent news.

 

We just got back from our medicals. Went all the way to Munich (12 hour return train ride with 3 children under 5!) so we could use an ehealth clinic in the hope our results will be processed faster. Police checks for all 3 countries we need them for are done and all other paperwork in order (from our point of view, at least!), so I guess we're one of the next in line.

Hi Guys

The new line means nothing, neither positive or negative. Some of us had that line for a day or so before the decision, others weeks, for others it appeared then vanished and some never had it. However, it often means a decision is not far away. The waiting is a nightmare but you are nearly there.

I was having a "lie in" (until 7am) with my 2-year-old and 7-week-old. I woke up to see my husband come in with my 4-year-old wearing an Aussie hat. My response: "We haven't, have we?!?!"

 

We only did the medicals a week ago and I wasn't expecting the visa grant so soon!
