Hi All

My wife used her Immi-account to apply for our 887 visas( she is primary, I'm secondary.) and got granted last May. Recently she tried to apply for citizenship but found: "there's no option/ tab to add me into her application."  Is that mean I have to sign up for my own Immi-account and apply it by myself?

Thank you!!

Hey there,

No she can just add another application on her own immi account. I did it for my husband. So I did my application with my kids, and then did another application for my husband. You will just need to go through the whole process again with all of your own details.

Hello everyone, I lodged my citizenship application on 19 April 2021. After submitting the documents I realized that my 1195 was not filled up correctly. So, I resubmit my 1195 one more time. No update yet, I guess too early for an update, I am not too curious about citizenship application. You need to attach the document before otherwise, you can't submit the application.

Document submitted with the application

  1. 1195 Form ( signed by regular GP who knows me for 9 years)
  2. Address proof - Driver license. Service NSW latter ( every time you change your address you get one). I don't have any utility bills under my name.
  3. Date of birth evidence: Birth Certificate
  4. Present country of citizenship: Current Passport
  5. First arrival in Australia: Previous passport page scanned copy
  6. Photograph: Front and Back ( Back signed by person singed 1195 form)
  7. Current passport copy.

The good thing is we don't have to submit the police clearance for this application, the department will organize for them. All the best everyone.

Hi!  Thanks for the information!
may I know did you have your  "Previous passport page scanned copy " stamp from JP? Maybe it's silly but I'm just wondering should I have all the scanned Docs get the stamp from JP.   Thanks!

Normally if it is color scan does not require attestation by GP. I did not do it, if you want to be on safe side. You could do that, there is nothing wrong on that.

Quick one - i don't have any proof of arrival on my passport; when we came in in 2017 there were no stamps used on arrival; any thoughts....

Hi mate!

I just called DoHA and they said they I should attach a copy of the passport used on arrival. I came in 2017 and no stamps were put at that time. They went digital only.

Thanks -  i attached passports; 489 visa and 887 visa; they can chose what they want 🙂

But in case of my daughter and husband attached renewed passport that was done in Australia only; hopefully it works.

Yes indeed, would like to know how to provide proof of arrival.

A friend of mine recently got his citizenship, he only provided the passport scan through which he arrived in Australia. But it depends on the Case Officer.
